Ideas for USB memory stick useage

Concentrating on Linux:

1. Script to setup newly created home directories.
   
2. Script to rsync the USB disk with work done on the home directory.
3. Script to RCS USB disk.
4. Script to rsync rarely used home directories.
5. Script to backup USB stick probably via rsync
   

Since I'm just not getting a clear idea of what I want I'll start making a new directory on the USB stick for those files I think I want.
